Le Mésolithique de Slovaquie (The Mesolithic in Slovakia)

Abstract. This article deals with the mesolithic settlement of Slovakia in accordance with the current knowledge. The chipped stone industry is classified on the basis of the typologically distinct artifacts, since we do not have dating for any of the sites. Sand dunes in Western Slovakia classified in the Sereď group of the Sauveterrian, the river terrace in Košice-Barca I with the Tardenossian and the cave Medvedia jaskyňa near Ružín connected with bear hunting were settled. Remains of fauna and flora come from the sites and classify them in the Boreal to the beginning of the Atlantic or in the Atlantic.
Résumé. Cet article présente l’état des recherches sur les occupations mésolithiques de Slovaquie. L’attribution culturelle se base sur la typologie des fossiles directeurs lithiques puisque aucun site n’a livré des datations. Les groupes humains s’installaient sur les dunes de sable dans la Slovaquie occidentale (Groupe Sereď, Sauvetterien), sur la terrasse fluviatile à Košice-Barca I (Tardenoisien) ou étaient associés à la chase à l‘ours (grotte Medvedia jaskyňa près de Ružín). Les occupations sont associées à des restes végétaux ainsi que de la faune datés du Boréal, du début de l’Atlantique ancien ou de l’Atlantique.
