Welcome to our site! Litikum is the yearly published journal of the Lithic Research Roundtable that unites prehistorians and archaeologists in Hungary, those are interested in lithic studies. Our aim is to provide a forum for presenting on-going research, new approaches and methods related to lithic analysis.
With our webpage, we would like to address the professionals and the wide audience as well. The Litikum Journal articles are open access publications to read, download and use. Their language and themes conform, of course, with strict scientific standards, archaeological knowledge about lithics is necessary to read them.
The web posts provide a more footlose communication, we share news and bits about recent developments in lithic studies for the wider audiences. Through the posts, lithic experts share their research in the form of short, easy writings, photos, videos or any other format. Therse contents are popular in composition but scientificly accurate in content.
We accept Litikum article manuscripts and web posts as well thorugh our online submisison forms. Please, read our „Informations” section about the details.
